Morocco has made history by climbing to 6th place, the highest ranking ever achieved by an African nation. Co-hosts Mexico also made gains, jumping four spots to 10th and overtaking Germany. Norway, led by superstar Erling Haaland (25), surged twelve places to 19th after reaching the quarterfinals, where they lost 1-2 to England.

Germany’s next test comes on September 24, 2026, when they face the Netherlands away. Their recent form tells a mixed story: three wins, one draw and one loss in their last five matches (3W-1D-1L). Their most recent outing ended 1-1 against Paraguay – a draw that only highlighted their struggles.
